Hey Brian,

Thanks for posting. What edition of D&D are you intending to play? The work that I’ve done on Mystara (specifically Karameikos and Thyatis) is for 4E. I’d be happy to send you what I do have. There is ample stuff already on the Internet for 3E.

And as a general recommendation, I highly recommend you get familiar with http://www.pandius.com. It’s got all the maps, etc for the Gazeteers done in great detail by a gentleman named Thorfinn Tait.

Hey. I’m getting back into D&D after a 20 year hiatus. I’m introducing my 10 year old son to the game and thought I would place it in Karameikos where I first began playing with the old red box. I would appreciate if you could send me any info on what you’ve done. I agree with your philosophy on the historical anachronisms in the original. Thanks for any help you can give.

It’s amazing that the Italians have seemed to championed Mystara more than anyone that I’ve found online. I’ve got a framework of my Gazetteer and I’ve added a bunch of cultural elements, which you may or may not appreciate.

I’ve been thinking on how to do the new monsters (i.e. Chevall or Nosferatu), but haven’t thought of a clean way to do it with the limited resources that are out there from WotC right now.
